A family-friendly residential quarter with around 360 apartments is being built on the site of a former car dealership in Düsseldorf-Bilk, blending into the inner-city Gründerzeit belt. Areas for services, restaurants, and retail complement the quarter. Four angled buildings enclose the area, creating bright, open, and spacious inner courtyards that invite residents to play and linger. The simple elegance of the clinker brick facades sets the tone: in iridescent tones, they mark the different houses, whose proportions reflect the neighboring Wilhelminian-style buildings. Together with the timeless architectural language, they contribute to the high-quality character of the development. The lively roof landscape forms attractive terraces.

"We wanted to create a stable neighborhood that could age with dignity. With houses that will still be impressive in thirty years."
