Winner of the MIPIM Award 2018

meyerschmitzmorkramer wins across the board with its new conference center in Siegburg: the coveted Mipim Award in the "Best Hotel & Tourism Resort" category and, at the same time, the Mipim "Special Jury Award."

There was a brief pause before a special award winner was announced late yesterday evening at the world's largest real estate fair in Cannes: Michaelsberg Abbey in Siegburg received the Mipim Award in the "Best Hotel & Tourism Resort" category.

Under the night-blue sky of Cannes, there was loud applause for this small, quiet project, which managed to prevail in the ranking against more extravagant projects. The second surprise followed that same evening: in addition to the prestigious Mipim Award, the project also received the "Special Jury Award."

The task of the international jury for these awards was not an easy one: a total of 227 projects from 55 countries competed for one of the awards.
