Topping-out ceremony for CO2-neutral LEIQ office building

July 7, 2022

  • LEIQ is one of the first CO2-neutral office buildings in Germany
  • Danfoss occupies approximately 13,500 m² of rental space with its German headquarters
  • Completion planned for the end of 2023

Together with HT Group and its joint venture partner Lupp, the topping-out ceremony for the LEIQ office complex in Offenbach was celebrated today. Over 100 guests accepted the invitation, including the mayor of Offenbach, Felix Schwenke, to celebrate the progress of the project. The new building, with a gross floor area of around 42,500 m², is located in Kaiserlei and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. It is planned to be CO2-neutral in operation. The German headquarters of the Danish company Danfoss will be the anchor tenant of building section A, with approximately 13,500 m² of rental space. Danfoss offers market-leading energy-efficient solutions in the areas of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating, among others, and is therefore a perfect fit for the LEIQ concept.

LEIQ forms the north-eastern gateway to the new Kaiserlei district and is the link to the new development area of Offenbach harbor to the east. The lines of the building reflect the polygonal boundaries of the site and transfer its prismatic shape to the cubature. The new building is designed as a double courtyard type and occupies almost the entire site area. To the southwest, it is adjoined by an above-ground parking garage, which is accessed from Goethering. A total of around 29,000 m² of office space is being created, divided roughly equally between the two office buildings.
