The German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) is moving into the new Pandion SOUL complex in Munich's Werksviertel district as the sole tenant and is leasing the entire building for at least 15 years. This was announced by the project developer Pandion AG. This also marks the start of holger meyer architektur's second major project in Munich's urban development project at Ostbahnhof. Together with Pandion BEAT, which we also designed, Pandion SOUL forms the southern gateway to Munich's new and trendy urban district. The lease is the largest office lease in Germany so far in 2021.

Modern working environments and a forward-looking mobility concept

Thanks to its flexible layout, the new 45,000 m² office building creates a modern office and working environment for the approximately 1,500 employees of the DPMA. In addition to the 40,000 m² of office space, the perimeter block development will also include a crèche and a staff restaurant, as well as a library and a fitness room. Balconies surrounding the inner courtyards and a 400 m² roof terrace extend the office space into the outdoor area. The modern mobility concept provides for 400 parking spaces for bicycles with adjoining changing rooms and showers in the underground car park. There will also be 300 parking spaces for cars. Thanks to its location near Munich's Ostbahnhof station, the building has excellent public transport connections. Construction work on the building, which is designed to meet the DGNB Gold Standard for sustainability, is scheduled to begin in 2022.
