The Theresienhof in Munich's Maxvorstadt district combines modern office and retail space in a historic setting. The seven-story new building with its light, clearly structured natural stone façade blends elegantly into the existing historic buildings: The base height, which extends over two floors, contour lines, and subtle design elements such as the shape of the window reveals are taken from the neighboring Klenze building, but reinterpreted. This gives the Theresienhof a modern character despite its resemblance to the existing buildings. A slightly recessed glazed entrance, which extends over the entire base height, leads visitors into the foyer. There, light-colored natural stone slabs from Jura cover the floor and wall surfaces. In the inner courtyard, a garden house with generously glazed window bands complements the courtyard complex.
