First "FinanzPunkt" branches opened.


The first FinanzPunkt jointly operated by Frankfurter Volksbank and Taunus Sparkasse was opened in Bad Soden-Neuenhain on December 19, 2019. holger meyer architektur developed a modular concept for the expansion, which is now being rolled out to other locations. By the end of the year, branches will open in Rod an der Weil, Hofheim-Diedenbergen, the Eddersheim district of Hattersheim, Hofheim-Langenhain, and the Fischbach and Ruppertshain districts of Kelkheim. A total of 26 branches are then scheduled to be jointly operational by 2021.

It wasn't just the media that showed great interest in the opening of the first FinanzPunkt branch in Bad Soden-Neuenhain this morning. Many local residents and customers also attended the nationwide premiere of a Share-a-Bank, which was opened by the two CEOs Eva Wunsch-Weber and Oliver Klink together with district administrators Michael Cyriax and Ulrich Krebs and the mayor of Bad Soden, Frank Blasch. The branches are jointly operated by the two financial institutions. The modular expansion system allows for different branch sizes – from self-service branches without advisory services to jointly staffed service branches with up to four workstations and a meeting table. Frankfurter Volksbank and Taunus Sparkasse will merge 50 locations into 26 jointly operated FinanzPunkte over the next two years.
