A new learning environment is emerging: designed by holger meyer architektur, the Center of Lifelong Learning (HLL) is leading the way in Europe by bringing together various forms of schooling, education, and care on one campus. In addition to new buildings with three to five stories, it includes a parking garage, renovated existing buildings, and a sports hall.

The HLL not only embraces the idea of lifelong learning, but also gives it spatial expression in an open architecture. With plenty of daylight and warm materials, the building conveys a stimulating atmosphere, while the green spaces and the shared cafeteria on campus invite interaction. This is because "space as a third teacher," as a learning environment that promotes motivation and performance, has a lasting effect on the experience.
