KölnTurm—the landmark of Cologne's Mediapark, built according to plans by star architect Jean Nouvel—underwent extensive revitalization and urban integration in 2011. New entrance areas, modern office floors, a facade renovation, and LEED-certified energy-efficient retrofitting are the results of the revitalization of the KölnTurm. The double facade made of aluminum and glass appears light and contemporary—a highlight is the well-known Cologne cityscape that seems to be reflected in it: from a distance, visitors are greeted by Cologne Cathedral. A representative entrance opening onto the Mediapark leads into a spacious foyer with high-quality natural stone flooring, a multimedia reception desk, and an elegantly staged light wall. Throughout the building, access areas have been made clearer and more sophisticated, improving the quality of the visitor experience and making the KölnTurm one of the most attractive office buildings in the Mediapark.
