A modern office complex with industrial charm is being built in the historic Obertürkheim industrial park in Stuttgart. As part of the extensive revitalization, the warehouse buildings of the former ›Hammerwerk‹ and the associated listed villa were converted into attractive office and commercial space. To provide optimal lighting for the deep parts of the building, the existing building stock was gutted, and two inner courtyards were cut into the existing structure. However, the industrial character remains: spacious loft offices in the former warehouses of the main building are characterized by open constructions. The façade design picks up on the existing grid of the reinforced concrete skeleton construction and integrates it into a modern concept. While a clinker brick façade adorns the first two floors, the floors above are clad with protruding frame elements with large windows.
