The end of each year is a time for reflection. In its annual report, meyerschmitzmorkramer reviews the past year, takes stock of the current situation, and asks the recurring question: How do we want to plan today for tomorrow?

Turbulent times call for flexibility. The best way to move forward is to know where you come from and what is important to you. For us, the journey is part of the destination. What does that mean? We focus on dialogue with clients, partners, local authorities, and our employees—only through this dialogue can we comprehend and understand the various project tasks. This understanding must be consistently implemented in our concepts. This requires flexibility, because with every procedural decision we have to ask ourselves what impact it will have on the overall concept. Above all else is our quality standard, which allows for no relativization: architecture should not be loud, it should treat the existing heritage with care and sensitivity, and it should be open and courageous about the future. That is our benchmark for quality.

The new Annual 2018/2019 is now available in bookstores. It features current project presentations, expert interviews from the architecture and real estate industry, and the initial results of our study "Retail in Transition" – in German and English.
