The Move celebrates topping-out ceremony

June 13, 2022

  • An important component of the new Gateway Gardens urban district
  • Building complex in Goldbeck system construction
  • Design of flexible office space based on the latest technologies and experience

The Move office complex in the Gateway Gardens at Frankfurt Airport has reached its next milestone: just under a year after the foundation stone was laid, around 400 guests accepted the invitation from the developer Siemens Real Estate to attend the topping-out ceremony. On behalf of Goldbeck Systembau, holger meyer architektur is planning the innovative new construction of the two-part complex.

Among the guests on site were the developers Dr. Zsolt Sluitner, CEO of Siemens Real Estate, Frankfurt's Head of Economic Affairs, City Councilor Stephanie Wüst, and Holger Meyer, who took part in the celebrations.

Goldbeck Systembau is the basis for the planning of the architecturally sophisticated concept for the new buildings. Even before the groundbreaking ceremony, a digital twin of the building was created, which increases schedule reliability and construction quality through prefabricated building elements. In addition, the elements can be optimized in such a way that they can be constructed in a more material- and resource-efficient manner compared to conventional construction. In addition to this particularly sustainable construction method, a workplace concept has been developed specifically for working in the "new normal." The ensemble is aiming for LEED Gold and DGNB certification.
