Another award for the urban office and commercial district "Die Macherei" in Munich: Following the European Property Award 2019-2020, the project received the 2021 audience award from the architecture blog "MuenchenArchitektur" in the commercial and administrative category. It is being planned on behalf of Art-Invest Real Estate and the Accumulata Real Estate Group by holger meyer architektur in collaboration with Hollwich Kushner from New York and Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten from Munich. Die Macherei is being built on the former site of the Temmler pharmaceutical company in Munich's Berg am Laim district. A striking silhouette, characterized by rough materials and industrial style, defines the neighborhood. The materials and volumes are reminiscent of the brickworks that were once located in the district and at the same time visually connect the diversity of the individual buildings.

The two buildings M1 and M2, designed by holger meyer architektur, with loft offices and retail space, each have their own distinctive design signature, inspired by the loft and industrial buildings of the Wilhelminian era. The industrial-looking "Nachtkastl" structure, standing on supports, creates a charming connection between the two buildings. The variable office spaces are complemented by hotel, restaurant, fitness, and commercial spaces, as well as co-working with event and conference spaces in the other buildings. LEED Gold certification is being sought for the new buildings.
