On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, the jury met to decide on the development of the "Baufeld Nord" (north construction site) of the Hafenpark quarter in Frankfurt's Ostend district. A total of nine firms took part in the architectural competition. The ensemble of high-rise and courtyard buildings proposed by holger meyer architektur was awarded one of two third prizes.

 

As part of its Hafenpark Quarter development on Hanauer Landstraße, the Hamburg-based B&L Group is planning a 17-story office building that will mark the start of the quarter. On a site area of approximately 12,300 square meters, over 60,000 square meters of gross floor area will be created above ground, divided between a high-rise building and a courtyard building. In addition, a neighborhood garage with over 800 parking spaces will be built on three basement levels. The Hafenpark neighborhood will consist of 600 apartments, a hotel, office and retail space, and a daycare center.
