Third prize in the competition for the revitalization of the Peek & Cloppenburg store with elementary school on Frankfurt's Zeil

Our design presents an outstanding, multifunctional building with high recognition value and a lively center. It offers various uses such as shopping, leisure, work, gastronomy, entertainment, sports, culture, commercial apartments, a two-stream elementary school, but also the previous Peek & Cloppenburg retail space in a reduced form. The building's cubature is based on its diverse uses and floor plan organization, as well as the urban alignment of Schäfergasse, as one of the existing Peek & Cloppenburg main entrances is already located there. Our design also respects the urban dominance of the Bienenkorbhaus (Beehive House) and does not attempt to compete with it, but rather to enter into dialogue with the existing environment.
