On a narrow but deep plot between Düsseldorfer Straße and the A661 in Eschborn, a complex consisting of two office buildings and a centrally located parking deck was constructed. The new buildings combine rational functionality with modern architectural language. The light anodized aluminum façade envelops the buildings like a second skin, giving them an abstract appearance and visually reducing their mass. The floor-to-ceiling windows create a strong light-dark contrast on the facades, which are transformed into colorful grid patterns in the evening due to the colorful design of the office walls.
The ensemble on Düsseldorfer Straße begins with a six-story building designed as a courtyard. It opens up to the forecourt and the street with a centrally located, two-story foyer. The facades of the two lower floors lead gently into the building. The inner courtyard on the first floor can be accessed from here, as can the other office floors. Around the courtyard, the building is staggered from the street to the south up to four stories. This creates three spacious roof terraces that are available to employees and visitors.
The seven-story L-shaped new building closes off the property toward the highway. Access is via the side road. The building block aligned along this road is elevated at the front. Here, a two-story foyer opens up the wing. Beyond it, a rectangular urban square opens up between the new building and the parking deck. The façade design is essentially the same as that of the first building, but differs in details: to allow for the possible installation of advertising structures, the technical enclosure on the top floor facing the highway is higher. Similarly, some of the windows facing the highway are framed in black bands, creating an accent that extends around the corner.
