Close to the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the apartment building "The Flagship" with 16 high-quality condominiums was built in the Westend district at the junction of Liebigstraße and Staufenstraße according to plans by holger meyer architektur. The floor plan of the corner building follows the street lines and is emphasized at the intersection by the rounded corner of the building with surrounding balconies and an elevated penthouse floor. The new building incorporates elements of metropolitan block developments, such as the magnificent residential buildings along splendid boulevards.
The residential complex is accessed from the side of Staufenstraße. A two-story continuous window band marks the entrance to the stairwell. The façade design connects the base floor and the bel étage. The window panels used divide the façade vertically. On the upper floors, the façade follows a clear grid pattern. Horizontal clinker bands emphasize the floors. Each apartment has a balcony that appears to be carved out of the clinker band. Large balconies are assigned to the apartments on both ends of the building. The penthouse is staggered along the streets, creating spacious roof terraces. The apartments on the ground floor have a terrace in front.
