June 27, 2022

  • Five-part building complex with approximately 52,000 m² of rental space
  • First construction phase with 25,000 m² of rental space to be completed by 2024
  • Grand ceremony with BAFA President Torsten Safarik, Mayor Adnan Shaikh, and numerous project participants

Together with numerous representatives from politics and business, Adnan Shaikh, Mayor of Eschborn, Torsten Safarik, President of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control, Idessa Trink Gertler, Managing Director of Gertler Estates, and Holger Meyer celebrated the symbolic start of construction work on the Börsenplatz Eschborn neighborhood development with a traditional groundbreaking ceremony on June 27. The first of a total of three construction phases is scheduled for completion by 2024 at Mergenthaler Allee 26–36.

Five new buildings are being constructed in the immediate vicinity of the Deutsche Börse Group – 52,000 m² of forward-looking space embedded in a modern and sustainably oriented overall area. The attractively designed, publicly accessible outdoor areas and the uses arranged around the square in the ground floor zones, such as retail, gastronomy, and fitness, represent a quality gain for the entire neighborhood. The sole user of the first construction phase under a 15-year lease is the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control. One of its many tasks is to promote energy efficiency measures in buildings, making Börsenplatz Eschborn a flagship project of the modern universal authority of the Federal Ministry of Economics.
