The starting signal has been given for the new Siemens branch in Frankfurt's Gateway Gardens at Frankfurt Airport. On behalf of Goldbeck GmbH, holger meyer architektur is planning not only the new Siemens branch in Frankfurt for Siemens Real Estate (SRE), but also, for the first time, office space for external tenants. Two buildings with a total of approximately 34,000 square meters of leasable space are being constructed. The contract for the architecturally sophisticated office building concept has now been signed, which will implement Siemens Real Estate's internal specifications while taking Goldbeck's construction system into account. Construction will begin early next year. Completion is scheduled for 2023.
Attractive offices offering a high degree of flexibility will be created on a total of five floors. A spacious lobby, a bistro, and an experience restaurant are planned for the ground floor of the building complex, which will be available to all tenants. In addition, underground parking garages with a total of 325 parking spaces will be built beneath the buildings. The new building is located in the immediate vicinity of the new Gateway Gardens S-Bahn station and is therefore well connected to public transport in the Rhine-Main area. LEED Gold and DGNB certification is being sought for both buildings.
"As architects, we are normally used to approaching a design without restrictions," emphasizes Holger Meyer on the occasion of the contract signing not far from the construction site. "However, in our collaboration with Goldbeck, we have learned that it is also possible to create architecturally high-quality buildings with exciting spatial structures in a standardized construction system. The pilot project in Gateway Gardens is a successful step into the world of system construction for us."
