Commissioned: New construction of DekaBank in the Niederrad office district in Frankfurt

October 2, 2019

holger meyer architektur is designing a new building for DekaBank on behalf of Lang & Cie. Real Estate AG. With a gross floor area of around 50,000 square meters, the new building is a central component in the redevelopment of the residential and office district in Frankfurt-Niederrad. Completion is scheduled for 2022.

"Being commissioned to design the new office building for DekaBank is a picture-perfect start for our Frankfurt office following the successful repositioning of our company," says Holger Meyer, who was co-owner of the successful architecture firm 'meyerschmitzmorkramer' until the beginning of the year and now continues to run the company under his own name in Frankfurt and Munich together with managing directors Gregor Gutscher and Martin Schapfeld. With the signing of the lease agreement between DekaBank and Frankfurt-based project developer Lang & Cie. Real Estate AG and the associated commission for an office building at Lyoner Straße 13 in the Niederrad office district, the architectural firm is now seamlessly continuing its previous successes.

"The new building for DekaBank on Lyoner Straße in Niederrad occupies one of the entrances to the office district with its striking and inviting architecture," says Gregor Gutscher, managing director of holger meyer architektur, explaining the design. "Large glass facades on the front sides of the office blocks allow for wide views in and out and hang like monitors above a two-story base that connects the office blocks."
